Bergamot - Citrus bergamia (Rutaceae)

Extraction: Pressed from rind, rectified and void of terpenes; solvent extraction or vacuum distillation
Properties: Anti-infectious, calming, balances
hormones, helps regulate appetite; mood lifting; relaxing;
anti-inflammatory; use for sore throats, coughs, skin
conditions
Uses: Diffuse, apply to forehead, on temples or soles
of feet; may be added to food or drink as dietary
supplement; a few drops make an excellent underarm deodorant
without the harsh chemicals
Cautions: Do not use on skin that will receive direct
sunlight as it is a photosensitive oil and may cause some
skin pigmentation changes. This is true of all citrus oils.
