Cedar Essential Oil (Canadian Red)

Cedar essential oil is from the Canadian red cedar tree. It is not one of the more popular or commonly used oils, but like all pure essential oils it has therapeutic and cleansing properties, not to mention a delightful aromatherapy fragrance. You can splash a few drops of this oil onto wood chips or a potpourri bag and store it in closets or drawers. It will cleanse the air, freshen stored items and even drive away insects.

Native Americans used it for its spiritual properties. They also aware of its therapeutic value and used it to treat infections and to stimulate the scalp.

Canadian Red Cedar {Thuja plicata}

Botanical family: Cupressaceae

Extraction: Steam distilled fom bark and sawdust

Properties: Antifungal, antibacterial, hair follicle
stimulator, antiparasitic and insect repellent

Uses: Diffuse; apply topically to soles of feet, or
head for scalp/hair follicle stimulation
