Fennel Essential Oil

During medieval times fennel essential oil was used to ward off evil spirits. It has also been used for hundreds of years to balance the menstrual cycle in women and to balance hormonal fluctuations during menopause. Fennel herb is commonly used in teas and as a cooking spice with meats, poultry and fish.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)

Botanical Family: Apiaceae or Umbelliferae

Extraction: Steam distilled from crushed seeds

Properties: Promotes digestion, stimulates estrogen
production, cardiovascular system, supports pancreas;
antiseptic, antiparasitic, analgesic

Uses: Apply topically in diluted form, to arms, legs, abdomen, chest
