Mandarin Essential Oil



Mandarin essential oil is one of the fragrant citrus oils. The citrus oils are very versatile, having both physical and emotional effects. They are delightful to use in cleansing, and on a spiritual level they offer an uplifting, cheerful and refreshing sensation.

Botanical Family: Rutaceae

Extraction: Cold pressed from rind

Properties: Dlgestive tonic, antispasmodic, antiseptic, antifungal, stimulates gall bladder; helps with acne, digestive problems, intestinal problems, skin problems, stretch marks, nervous tension, insomnia

Uses: Diffuse or apply topically; avoid direct sunlight on exposed skin after use for 72 hours, as with all citrus oils

Tips for usage

For bad breath, rinse mouth out with a mixture of 3 drops peppermint, 2 drops lemon, and 1 drop mandarin oil diluted in 4 ounces of warm water containing a teaspoon of honey. Or add the mixture to a bland mouthwash or mouth rinse.

You can also mix mandarin with with spearmint or cinnamon for an effective mouthwash and throat gargle.
