Sandalwood Essential Oil
Sandalwood is probably better known in its incense form, but in aromatherapy sandalwood essential oil provides the same calmness of mind and meditative effect. It also helps remedy a myriad of infections within and without the body. It may be used topically as a fragrance or for therapeutic effect, in aromatherapy diffusers for tranquillity and clearing negative thoughts, or added to food or drink. Sandalwood has been used for centuries in Asia. It was the most popular incense during the 1960s in the USA and its popularity stirred interest in many other types of incense.
