Add several drops of lavender to water and place directly on burn, or apply neat to burn. Never mix lavender with massage or carrier oil when using it for burns! Apply it neat, or diluted in water. Add lavender to water in a spray mist bottle for frequent application to sunburn or burned skin.
Note: Lavandin is not a suitable substitute for lavender, especially where burns are concerned. Use pure lavender oil.
Single oils: Myrtle, goldenrod, ledum, fir, ravensara, cedarwood
Add one drop of any of these oils to cup of warm water with tsp. honey. Drink, or inhale vapor when mixed with hot water
Blends: Mix tea tree [melaleuca alternifolia] with thyme, myrrh, eucalyptus radiata, lemon, or juniper
Add to massage oil and rub on chest and neck, or use for inhalation, or add mixture of oils to Epsom salts bath

1 drop juniper or German or Roman chamomile added to water or juice; drink at least once daily for immune support.
Lavender added to bath water or used in a sitz bath. Or add a cup of apple cider vinegar to a warm bath or sitz bath.
For extremely uncomfortable bladder infections, add a drop of lavender oil to a teaspoon of water, soak a cotton ball in it, and gently dab on urethra. Relief should be fairly quick.
Psoriasis Add 2 drops patchouly, 2 drops Roman chamomile, 2 drops lavender, 2 drops melissa to lotion or oil and apply
Anti-Aging Add 6 drops rosewood, 4 geranium, 3 lavender, 2 frankincense to oil or lotion
Wrinkle Reduction Add 5 drops each of sandalwood, helichrysum, geranium, lavender, and frankincense to lotion or oil
Poison Ivy Mix melaleuca alternifolia with either lemon, lemongrass, thyme, basil, lavender, eucalyptus dives, or geranium; then add to lotion or oil and apply
Skin Ulcers Mix lavender with either chamomile, geranium, rosewood or patchouly
Dandruff 10 drops eucalyptus, 15 drops rose, mixed with 5 milliliters of jojoba oil; massage thoroughly into hair; rinse out

To 1 teaspoon of massage oil, add 1 drop thyme, 10 drops lavender, 4 drops eucalyptus radiata, 3 drops Roman or German chamomile; apply to insect bite as soon as possible
Insect Repellent Add 6 drops peppermint, 6 drops tea tree oil [melaleuca alternifolia] 9 drops eucalyptus radiata, to 4 ounces light massage oil like almond and apply to skin. Or add to spray bottle to mist affected areas.

Add to dog shampoo, bedding, or rub a drop into dog's fur for a nice fragrance
To repel insects: Thyme, or tea tree [melaleuca alternifo- lia], eucalyptus radiata, or peppermint, added to water and sprayed around dog areas
CAUTION: We do not recommend using essential oils for cats! Cats have a very different metabolism from dogs and essential oils may be toxic to them. Use only for dogs.
Night Sweats Inhale sage, clary sage, or blue yarrow, or add drop to food and drink, or add a few drops to a bath or massage oil
PMS Add a drop of sage, clary sage, anise, or fennel to food or drink; diffuse; add to bath; add to massage oil
Add lemongrass or ylang ylang to a bath gel for a soothing bath or shower
Other useful combinations: Mix sage with either clary sage, fennel, basil, bergamot, yarrow, chamomile, pine, anise or orange
Hormonal balance Add 10 drops basil, 10 marjoram, 8 hyssop, 4 helichrysum, 6 ylang ylang, to 8 ounces of massage or carrier oil for a relaxing and calming lotion
