Myrrh Essential Oil

Myrrh essential oil is one of the best-known aromatherapy oils from Biblical times. It is probably most famous for being one of the gifts brought to the baby Jesus by the Three Wise Men. But there are many other reasons for this oil to be so valuable. It has been used since antiquity to help heal some of the ailments listed below.

In addition to its use in massage oil, mouthwash, or topical applications, myrrh can be added to food or drink to help support the immune system, prevent infections, and provide hormonal support. Just one drop will do!

Myrrh (Commiphora myrrha)

Botanical Family: Burseraceae

Extraction: Steam distilled from gum/resin

Properties: Anti-infectious, antiviral, anti-inflammatory; antiparasitic, hormone-like;soothes skin conditions, supports immune system; has effect on hypothalamus, pituitary, amygdala; use for bronchitis, diarrhea, dysentery, hyperthyroidism (helps reduce hyperthyroidism), athlete's foot, gingivitis, gum infections, mouth ulcers, sore throats, chapped skin
